A radiologist is a physician who specializes in interpreting images and performing image-guided procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.

 

Radiologists with expertise in Interventional Radiology specialize in the performance of a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the blood vessels and multiple other body parts. These procedures include angioplasty/stent placement, chemoembolization, radiofrequency ablation, vertebroplasty, and many others.

 

Radiologists with expertise in Musculoskeletal Radiology are specialists in the diagnosis of disease processes affecting the bones and joints. They provide expert interpretation of standard radiographs and MRI images to detect subtle abnormalities involving the bones and surrounding tissues.

 

Radiologists with expertise in Body Imaging are specialists in cross-sectional imaging techniques that are used to diagnose conditions affecting the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Many also have extensive experience in image-guided biopsies and drainage procedures.

 

Radiologists with expertise in Diagnostic Neuroradiology are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of disease processes affecting the brain, head/neck region, and spine. They provide expert interpretation of CT and MRI images of these areas, and also have extensive experience in myelography, angiography, and spinal injection procedures.

 

 

Radiologists with expertise in Breast Imaging and Intervention are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. They provide expert interpretation in mammography, as well as ultrasound and MRI of the breast. Many also have extensive experience in image-guided biopsy procedures (breast MRI biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy), with an emphasis on both patient safety and comfort.  Radiology Ltd.
